Frequently Asked Questions

1) How do I hide/get rid of the list of blogs I’m following?

Sometimes it really depends on which of my themes you are using, but they all really have the same structure. Locate the {block:Following} tag and delete everything between that and the end tag {/block:Following}. You may also want to delete the tags that bind the lists together, which are usually located right before the first block tag and called something like “sidebarfollowing” or just “following”.

2) How do I add the list of blogs I am following to my theme?

Again, it really depends on which theme you are using, but generally you will have to add a code to the stylesheet and then add the div layers to the HTML code in the exact place you’d like your followers to be listed. Read this basic tutorial I wrote for a very general explanation of how to do this.

3) Is it possible to make the side bar fixed?

It sure is! All you need to do is add position:fixed; in the div#sidebar code!

4) How can I add a background image to my page?

Just follow this little tutorial and it should work perfectly!

5) How can I add a “Things I like” section to my blog’s sidebar?

By following this little tutorial here!
